Choices and Decisions

I realized while meditating on this blog post that virtually at all times when we take decisions, we end up choosing between God and another thing, it amazed me that I found it very difficult to think of a decision that would not clearly involve God.

It’s so amazing that most of us are more comfortable picking other options ahead of God without any slightest feeling of remorse.

God holds the key to our lives and He has the right to unlock or to lock just any aspect of it. We also need to understand that there’s “no me without Him”. Just in a twinkle of an eye, our lives can go to rest at ones.
Life is a privilege and the earlier we understand this, the better for us.

All through scriptures, we read about situations were men had to choose between God and themselves or even others.
One thing about this is that the choices we make, goes a long way to validating th level of our love for God.

Think about Abraham who was put the test to ascertain whether he loved God or Isaac more. But thank God he survived the test.
Remember the man Daniel and even his three friends who put to the test to see whether they love God more than food.

Job was also tested, Christ also, Joseph, Isaac, Jacob, Peter and many others were all tested.

Saul was tested as recorded in 1 Samuel 13:5-11 and again in 1 Samuel 15:1-35 but unfortunately he failed on both occasions, preferring to please the people instead of making his stance for God uncompromising.

The story of king Saul is a typical example of how most of us live, we put our reputation, friends, family, desires and dream ahead of God.
If you were in God’s shoes, how would you feel? Remember, He said of Himself, “I am a jealous God”.
I just want to use this medium to ask everyone of us to always put God’s will ahead before any other feeling whatsoever, anything, anybody, anywhere, any job or any wealth.
If only you stand out for God, you are sure to have him stand for you, and back you up so that no one can confront you or break your backbone.

Divine Direction- A Gateway To Success

In some of my previous posts, I’ve shared with you some of the secrets of success and I shall be giving you another secret of success via this post which is divine direction.

The truth remains that God will not do anything without you and you can’t do anything without Him. So until you desire to be led by God you won’t be led by Him. To be assured of your success, you need to walk by God’s leading because there is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof, are the ways of death and ultimate failure.

To be led by God you need to be born again, live righteously, love God and also believe in the leading of the Holy Spirit which is inside of you even as you exercise yourself into being in the spirit- “I was in the spirit in the Lord.s day, and I heard behind me a voice”{Revelations 1:10}

To be in the spirit, you ought to do more of spiritual exercises such as prayer, praise, meditation, bible study and practical holiness.

Prayer is not talking to God but communicating with God. This entails you speaking to God and also hearing and understanding Him. So, whenever you are done telling Him your needs, take some time to try to listen(SPIRIT MEDITATION). This is when you stay in quietness with your eyes close in order to get full concentration. You’re always going to hear from God because God’s spirit is a speaking spirit. Most times what I do is, I close my bible and with my eyes closed, I just open any page and something I need always shows up and most times, so many things my show up at a time, all I do is I do it two more times and the Lord’s will always be seen. This is not guess work. Whenever God speaks, you need no form conviction to believe.

The good news is that, there are so many ways God can use in speaking to you, they are:

VISION: At times, this comes in mp3 format while at some other times, it comes in an mp4 format. It’s free to access, your credit card details are not needed. All you need is the password which I’ve given to you earlier in this post. John heard a voice in revelation 1:10 and then saw the voice in vs12.

TRANCE: This is just like a short sleep of few seconds where images and words just happen to you quickly.

DREAM: When you’re asleep, your body is as good as dead but your spirit remains active. Ordinarily, you can always dream all manner of things but on the day you decide to hear from God through your dreams, you will realise that your dream pattern will change dramatically especially when you’re living in holiness and continuously meditating on God’s word(before sleeping).

BIBLE: The bible is God’s word. So many people have read the bible with their names appearing on it’s pages but I tell you, you don’t need to see your name on it before accepting it as God’s word to you in person.

YOUR MIND: There are times when you need impromptu answers from God, if you’re really a son or by His mercies, ideas and data just drop on you. Please do not call it common sense. -“And ye shall hear a voice from behind you, saying. This is the way, walk ye in it…”{Isaiah 30:21}

The place of divine direction should never be left out by anyone who wants to experience true success as the surest way of getting to your destination in life, is to follow someone who knows the way. So, it’s time you made the choice to stop failing by following the right leading.

How To Discover Your Purpose in Life [Catching a Vision Of Who You Are]

Until you locate the purpose of any product, that product will always fail and won’t work for you because a product cannot function efficiently outside what it’s being created for.
To discover what a product is for and how it works, you’ve got to

ask the manufacturer,

refer to the manual accompanying the product,

ask those who know about the product, or

you make research.

Understand that you’re a product made by the manufacturer, you can’t decide what to become, you discover it. Most persons wouldn’t want to bow to this fact and that’s why they are failing big time but hear me now, you have a maker who said, “…before I formed thee, I knew thee…”{Jeremiah 1:4}. He formed you alone hence, He knows you alone. You are unique and you remain the original copy of who you are regardless the nature of your birth. Your loved ones, teachers or mentors did not make you hence they have no right of telling you who you are. No matter how poor, bad, rejected, or disfigured you’re, your manufacturer has a plan for you, which is “…a thought of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end“{Jeremiah 29:11}. No matter how wicked a manufacturer might be, you don’t expect him to sit down to make something that he expects to fail, how much more your righteous heavenly father.
You don’t have any rights telling your maker who you want to become or rejecting His purpose for a pot can never be greater than the potter hence He said “woe is he that striveth with his maker”{Isaiah 45:9} for, “…my counsel shall stand and I will do my pleasure”{Isaiah 46:10}

So, how do you locate your purpose?

BE BORN AGAIN: This is the first step to discovering your purpose as this gives you a divine connection to God. Please never try to infer that not having a divine connection to God means that He’s no longer your creator.

PRAY: The scriptures said, “Ask me of things to come concerning my sons and concerning the works of my hands, command ye me”{Isaiah 45:11}

PRAISE: God lives in praise and when you praise Him He comes down to you. Whenever He’s with you, expect to hear from Him.

READ THE BOOK:The bible is a very special book from God that can help you discover you. Christ and John the Baptist discovered their purposes via the book. Go and look into that book because until you look into it, no one looks at you.

READ OTHER ANOINTED BOOKS: Daniel used this and it worked for him-“…I Daniel understood by books…”{Daniel 9:2}. You too can.

ENGAGING THE HOLY GHOST: “I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…your young men shall see visions”{Joel 2:28}. A young man is someone with 6 years like Samuel and 100 year’s because they both saw visions between this age range.

What is Vision?

Whenever we hear the word vision anywhere near the church, we are always inclined to thinking of a situation where an anointed individual is sensing or seeing something very unusual but vision is much more than that. In this post, I’m going to be broadening your view about this subject of vision.
So, what is vision?

It is the discovery of God’s plan and purpose.

In my previous post I talked about purpose not being something you decide but something to be discovered and here, we see that there is a huge relationship between purpose and vision because vision is the process of discovering it. Note that there are so many ways of discovering it which I shall be discussing later on. This was the kind of vision that opened up Christ’s ministry here on earth.

It is an attraction getting event

After Christ got the vision of God’s purpose for Him, the bible recorded, ‘…the eyes of everyone in the synagogue was fastened upon Him'{Luke 4:20}. Also when Moses got the vision of the burning bush, he said, ‘I must look to see this great sight for the bush burneth without being consumed'{Exodus 3:2} It becomes very difficult for you to be seen, favoured, remembered if you’re yet to see God’s plan and purpose for you.

It is your thinking

‘For as a man thinketh in his heart so is he…'{Proverbs 23:7}. Visions, dreams, and imaginations are some of the most powerful forces on the earth ‘…because it will surely come to pass, it will not tarry{Habakkuk 2:3}. Although Joseph’s vision was delayed for years, it came to pass. Although Caleb and Joshua’s vision of conquest delayed for over 40 years, it still came to pass likewise that of the other 10 spies who envisioned defeat and death.

It is as far as your eyes can see

‘God said unto Abram, lift up thine eyes northward, southward, westward and eastward. For all the land which thou seest shall I give to you and your seeds'{Genesis 13:14-15}. Similarly, God is saying, look from Genesis to Malachi, from Matthew to Revelation and all the boldness, godliness, grace, power, prosperity etc will be yours.

Causes Of Poverty

To every condition enjoyed or endured on earth, there is always a reason for it and so does poverty. To me, poverty is more than unemployment, and also beyond leaving below a dollar per day. Poverty in my own terms, is a disease of living below your supposed financial means. I shall be sharing with you some of causes of this deadly disease which are

NOT SERVING GOD: Poverty brings sorrow and the scriptures said, “the sorrow Of them that hasten after other gods shall be multiplied”[Psalms 16:4] but the scriptures said, “if you obey Him and serve Him, you will spend your days in prosperity”[Job 36:11]

THE FALL: After Adam and Eve sinned, the ground was cursed but Jesus came to redeem us from the curse of the law. So, accept Him as your personal saviour.

NOT TITHING: When you don’t pay your tithe, you lay a curse Of poverty upon youself.

SATAN AND HIS AGENTS: Remember the parable Of the seed when a man planted good seeds but at night, the enemies came and planted tares.(Matthew 13:24-30) but you can “take the shield Of faith in order to quench all the fiery darts Of the wicked”[Ephesians 6:16]

STEALING: “He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him”[Proverbs 28:22]

WRONG COMPANY: “…he that followeth after vain persons, shall have poverty enough”[Proverb 28:19]

PARENTAL CURSES: When a parent places a curse on his child be sure it’s going to follow that person.

LAZINESS: “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand…”[Proverbs 10:4]

WASTEFULNESS: “A waster is brother to him that is lazy”[Proverbs 18:9]

GREED: ‘There is that scattereth and yet increaseth: and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty…”[Proverbs 11:24]

God prosper you.

Making Your Praises Work For You

Most times, when people praise God in church, they just do it as a normal routine activity or just entertainment but that is not praise. Until you set your heart to impress God and to do it as a way of showing appreciation, you are not doing praise. No matter how sweet your voice is or how fanciful your dance is, God never looks at you.

To praise God
you don’t necessarily have to dance to the tune of the song,
do not look at the people around you,
don’t consider your status whether governor, president etc because one day, you will become ex- whatever you think you are but the God you are praising can never become an ex-God.

Praise is the only thing God cannot give to Himself hence, He honours it whenever you’re giving it to Him.

It might interest you to know that God lives inside praise. When your praise Goes up, He comes down just as He did when Paul and Silas praised Him no wonder there was an earthquake.
The children of Isreal praised Him, He showed up and the wall od Jericho fell.

Prayers puts you incharge but praise puts God incharge.
-“Thou art holy thou that inhabitest(live in)the praises of your people”{Psalms 22:2}.

So now, how do you make your praise work For you?
BE BORN AGAIN: If God live inside praise, do you expect Him to dwell in a sinful environment?

BE MEEK: Meekness is dancing like king David [2 Samuel:20-22]-“Let them praise Him in the dance…He will beautify the meek[dancing SOLDIERlously] with salvation[general deliverance+grace]”{Psalms 149:3-4}

BE THANKFUL: “Enter into His gate with thanksgiving and into His court with praise”{Psalms 100:4}. God doesn’t stay at the gate but before you get to the court where He stays, you need to cross the gate.

BE JOYFUL: In the presence of God, there is fullness of joy.

BE EXPECTANT: Praise is the plural of pray so expect something.

Benefits Of Signs And Wonders

SUBDUING THE DEVIL: Without signs and wonders, the devil can never be subdued. All problems
, diseases and oppression are of the devil and to deal with these, signs and wonders must be performed.

MAKES YOU DIFFERENT: Signs and wonders is capable of making you different just as it made Daniel different from all other politician in his days.
WITNESSING EFFECTIVELY: By witnessing effectively, I mean being able to prove to others that JESUS is the one and only true God. The apostles of old witnessed Christ effectively because signs and wonders followed them.

PROOF OF BELIEF:The scriptures says, “And this sign shall follow them that believe…”(Mark 16:17). This means that for you to truly prove that you believe in God, you need to either perform or enjoy signd
s and wonders.

PROSEPERITY & PROMOTION: This is what most people in church are lookin for as everyone wants to prosper and do well. This is one of the things signs and wonders brings to the table.

In Joseph’s life, signs and wonders was all around- right from his father’s house, he had the gift of interpreting dreams.
In Portiphar’s house, he subdued the devil in Portiphar’s wife.
In Portiphar’s house and also in the prison, he was different from others hence he was made to lead.
When he interpreted Pharoah’s dream, he was being promoted from being a leader in the prison to ruling a nation.

How To Fast Effectively

This post is all about how to fast and get desired results as fasting does not give you the guarantee of getting desired results except when done in the right way. For your fast to be effective, you need to:
HAVE A STRONG PURPOSE: One big mistake many christians make is that they do not attach any purpose to their fast or, they end up attaching too many purposes to their fast. When the likes of Daniel and Esther fasted, they never made the mistake of attaching too many purposes at a time hence they got the much needed result.

PRAY: Fasting without prayer is starvation or better still, an hunger strike. Telling yourself you’re fasting doesn’t really mean you are as fasting always goes with prayer.

BE BOLD: The scriptures said, ‘Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain favour and find grace to help in time of need'[Hebrews 4:16]. When fasting, boldness is very important. You don’t have to look sad, beggarly or depressed like those hypocrites who always disfigure their faces and put on a sad look in order to appear to everyone as one who is fasting.

BELIEVE: Without believing that God will answer you when you fast, He won’t answer you. Always expect something special from God when you fast.

ABSTAIN FROM SIN: The time for fasting isn’t the time for committing sin as sin is capable of spoiling your fast for you because after committing sin, it’s going to affect your faith as you won’t be sure if God will pardon it even when He has already pardoned it. Always avoid too much interaction with people when fasting.

LOVE OTHERS: The time for fasting, is the time for showing love and doing good as stated, ‘Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seest the naked, that thou coverest him'[Isaiah 58:6-7].

BE FOCUS: This is all about being fully involved in the fasting exercise with all your heart. You shouldn’t think of food while fasting because you can never go hungry while fasting.

Benefits Of Fasting

Most christians usually find it very difficult to fast due to one reason or the other and this might lead to severe consequences. People attach so much importance to food and this is the major reason why people do not fast.

Whenever you decide to fast, you won’t go hungry because God automatically feeds you.

In this post, I shall be sharing some of the many benefits of fasting with you. The benefits of fasting are:
DIVINE POWER: The difference between christianity and other religion is power and as such, fasting is a very important exercise for all christian as you can receive all the power you need through fasting. Despite being send on a divine mission by God, our Lord Jesus Christ fasted before the full dose of power was released to Him. Also, His disciples fasted and prayed before power was released unto them on the day of pentecost. With divine power, you gain dominion over every form of satanic oppression, sickness etc.

BOLDNESS: After the apostles fasted and prayed, the spirit of boldness was released unto them. Immediately they received the spirit of boldness, Peter who couldn’t confess Jesus Christ in front of a little girl became bold enough to speak to over three thousand persons.

GRACE: The bible recorded, ‘…with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and Great Grace was upon them all'[Acts 4:33]. With fasting and prayer, God’s grace would be exceedingly abundant for you. Everyone needs God’s grace to succeed spiritually and otherwise. God’s grace is all about divine favour. When God favours you, everyone automatically favours you and with favour, you gain access to things you can’t ordinarily access. In the scriptures, Esther said, ‘Go gather together and fast for me…'[Esther 4:16] and due to the fast, ‘…when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favour in his sight…'[Esther 5:2]

Why Do We Need The Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Holy Trinity and He was sent to us our Lord Jesus Christ after He ascended into heaven. The Holy Spirit dwells only in holy people and His job is to help and to give comfort. In this post, I shall be sharing with you 5 reasons why you need the Holy Spirit as I was taught in my church. They are:
HE GIVES YOU POWER: Without the Holy Spirit, you are powerless as a christian. It might interest you to know that the major difference between christianity and othe religion is power and as such the Holy Spirit should always be in you. The scriptures said, ‘But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you'[Acts 1:8]

HE GUIDES YOU: Whenever you read the word of God without understanding, then you know that you didn’t give the Holy Spirit His place in your life to guide you. The scripture says, ‘…when the Holy Spirit is come upon you, He will guide you into all truth: for He will not speak of His himself: but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall he speak and He will shew you things to come'[John 16:13]. Also, when you pray, you need the Holy Spirit to guide you on how to pray and what to pray for.

HE KEEPS YOU FROM SIN: Most times, when you make your your mind to stop a particular sin, it would be difficult because you didn’t engage the help of the Holy Ghost. He is your helper and as such you can call on Him to keep you from sin. The bible says, ‘…walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh'[Galatians 5:16].

HE SEALS YOUR SALVATION: When you have the Holy Spirit at work in your life, it becomes extremely difficult for you to deviate from the way of the Lord because He is the seal of your salvation that prevents you from backsliding. The bible said, ‘In whom ye trusted after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise'[Ephesians 1:13]

HE GIVES YOU BOLDNESS: Before the Holy Spirit came upon Peter, he wasn’t bold enough to confess Jesus Christ even in front of a little girl but after the Holy Spirit came upon him, he was empowered to confess Jesus before 3000 persons. The Holy Spirit gives you boldness as written, ‘For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind'[2 Timothy 1:7]

5 THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE YOU BE LIKE JOB- A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMAN

A businessman is someone who engages in any productive activity with the aim of making profit at the end. Examples of businessmen are students, doctors, teachers etc. Job was a successful businessman and as the scriptures said, ‘…he was the greatest of all the men of the east'[Job 1:3]. In this post, I shall be giving you 5 qualities he had that made God bless in mightily. Anyone who wants to be like him, has to put on these qualities.They are:
BE UPRIGHT: From the scriptures, we see that Job was upright and steadfast even when temptations came his way. Most people do give up their righteousness when faced with temptations but Job never did. Instead, he said, ‘My righteousness, I hold fast, and will not let go'[Job 27:6].

SERVE GOD: Serving God is real business and it pays greatly. Job serve God faithfully and he was rewarded for it. Serving God is not by force, it’s only a matter of choice. There are so many ways of serving God. Firstly, you have to serve as the GOD who HE is

{compulsory}

. Then you can serve Him with your substance, practically by belonging to church service units, evangelism etc. You can also serve Him spiritually by praying for the church.

OVERCOME PEER PRESSURE: Your peers are always there to influence your own inclinations. Some peers would lead yout to God while others would lead you to hell just like Job’s. His wife said, ‘…curse God and die'[Job 2:9] but he refused. His friends also tried to make him hopeless and also discourage him from trusting in God but he was never moved by their vain words.

HAVE INTEGRITY: These days, seeing people with integrity isn’t common. Job had integrity in his days- ‘Let me be weighed on an even balance that God may know my integrity…'[Job 31:6-40]. Your integrity, is your password for telling God why He should do something for you. Imagine being the only individual with integrity in your field, it gives you an edge over all your rivals. These days, only individuals, companies and organisations who preserve their integrity do succeed in their field.

FEAR GOD: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. When Job was discussing with his friends, he was able to figure out all the deceitful words spoken by them. To excel in your business you need to be wiser than your rivals because wisdom brings about ideas that would make you excel and make the right choices. When you fear God, you wont be involved in any form of dishonest act.

BENEFITS OF HONESTY

There are so many wonderful benefits of honesty that everyone would like to enjoy them. In this post, I shall be giving you only 7 benefits you enjoy when you’re honest. They are:
IT PROVOKES GOD’S BLESSING: The only thing that can make God bless you, is pleasing Him and living in honesty is one of the ways of pleasing Him. The scriptures says, ‘lying lips are abomination to the Lord, but they that deal truly are His delight'[Proverbs 12:22]. When God blesses you, you will have lack of nothing as written, ‘…walk honestly with them that are without that ye may have lack of nothing'[1 Thessalonians 4:12].

IT BUILDS YOUR CONFIDENCE: Whenever you pray, you need to have confidence in the sight of God in order to get your reward. Honesty is one of the things that boots you confidence as it gives you a clear conscience. The scriptures says, ‘But having renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness…but by the manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God'[2 Corinthians 4:2].

IT GIVES YOU PERSONAL TESTIMONY: Honesty gives you some form of integrity that would turn into a personal testimony. With this personal testimony, Hezekiah prayed thus, ‘…Remember me now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart and have done that which is good in thy sight…'[Isaiah 38:3]and immediately, God heard him and prolonged his life by 15 years.

YOU LEAD OTHERS TO CHRIST: One of the main reasons why christians do not preach Christ, is dishonesty. After dealing dishonestly with others, it takes away your pride as a christians and as such, you can’t preach Christ again in order to avoid shame. When you deal honestly with people, they would always want to know the church you attend and you might win souls for Christ just like that.

YOU WOULD BE REWARDED BY MEN: The scriptures says, ‘…whatsoever ye would have men do to you, do ye even so to them'[Matthew 7:12]. A man reapeth whatever he soweth, for,’… with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you'[Mark 4:24]. The scriptures can never be broken.

PEOPLE TRUSTS YOU: Nobody would trust a thief, just as you would not. To be trusted, you have to be honest.

YOU WILL HAVE GOOD SUCCESS: Good success is the success achieved through honest means. Any success achieved through any other means normally turns into failure at the end.

WHEN SHOULD WE PRAISE GOD?

God is a good God that doeth only good things and that’s why we need to praise Him. Whatsoever thing you reckon to be good in your life, praise Him for it because He is the doer.
Whenever you sleep and wake up praise Him for some slept but didn’t wake up.
Whenever you go out and return, whether in peace or in pieces, remember to praise Him because some have died on their way to or from that place you went to.
Whenever you pray for anything and get it, remember to praise Him immediately because many have prayed for that same thing but they never got it.
Whenever you recover from any ailment, always praise Him because so many have died through that same ailment.
Whenever you find something to eat, whether in plenty or not, because there are some people out there, who have nothing to eat.
Whenever you wake up with nothing to eat, praise Him for the clothes you’re wearing.
Whenever you wake up with no clothes and food, praise Him for shelter.
Whenever you wake up with without food, shelter, and clothes, praise him for the gift of life. The scriptures said,’Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord…'[Psalms 105:6]. As long as you are alive, you have every reason to praise God- no matter what your condition might be. The scriptures also said,’Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruits be in the vines, the labour of the olives shall fail, and the field shall yield no meat:the flocks shall be cut oef from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation‘[Habakkuk3:17-18].

So, we have to praise God at all times because there is always a reason to praise Him and even if there is none {which is impossible}, praise Him still.

7 THINGS THAT CAN MAKE YOU LIKE ABRAHAM- A GREAT MAN.

Abraham- A Great Man

Abraham is being celebrated all over the world by all christians because he was a great man. Although he died many years ago but his riches still speaks-on till now and that’s why many of us wants to be like him. Many people do believe that the rich don’t go to heaven but Abraham went to heaven as a rich man and he’s still living as a rich man there. A poor man on earth would remain a poor man in heaven just like Lazarus whose earthly poverty deprived him from having his own house hence he had to live in Abraham’s bosom. In this post, I shall be telling you 7 of the many qualities Abraham had that made him a great man. These qualities can be exhibitted by anyone and also end up like Abraham. To be like him,
HAVE FAITH: He always believed all that God said to him despite what the reality projected. According to the scriptures, he never doubted he could bear a son even at old age.

LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY: He was referred to as a friend of God because of his righteous lifestyle. The scriptures recorded, ‘And he believed in the Lord: and it was counted to him for righteousness'[Genesis 15:6].

GIVE CHEERFULLY: He was always ready to give unto God as he always sacrificed wholeheartedly. Some might say he had in excess and that’s why he sacrificed much but do not forget that he almost sacrificed his son.

SERVE GOD: The scriptures said, ‘For He remembered His only promise, and Abraham His servant'[Psalm105:42]. He was always ready to serve God at all times despite how rich he was and he was rewarded for it.

BE A TITHER: The scriptures said, ‘…and he paid tithe of all'[Genesis 14:20]. When you pay your tithe correctly, God blesses you as He has said,’Bring ye all the tithe into the storehouse…and prove me herewith,…,if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it'[Malachi 3:10].

BE OBEDIENT: He always obeyed the voice of God throughout his life even when it was difficult to do so. Even if God doesn’t speak directly to you, obey your elders and pastors.

HAVE INTEGRITY: Abraham had integrity in being faithful, a tither, obedient etc. Your integrity is always connected with your reputation. He also proved his financial integrity when he said to the king of Sodom,’…lest thou should say I have made Abraham rich'[Genesis 14:23]. You too can preserve financial integrity by not taking part in bribery, theft etc

HOW TO BE AND REMAIN IN TOTAL HEALTH

Being in total health means being in total health and nothing else or less. I was taught some things I need to do to enable of enjoy total health in my church and I would be sharing them with you.
BE BORN AGAIN: Being born again means giving your life to Christ and living a righteous life for if a man be in Christ he is a new creation. Sickness can’t dwell in Christ and that’s why His body is the hiding place of anyone who wants to enjoy total health.

PRAY FOR IT: Another way to get total health, is by praying for it just as the leper in the synagogue cried out to our Lord Jesus Christ, ‘if thou will, thou canst make me clean'[Mark 1:40]. The leper asked for it and he recieved it.

HAVE FAITH: The bible says, ‘…the prayer of faith shall save the sick'[James 5:15]. With faith, you can access total health just like the woman with the issue of blood when Jesus said to her, ‘…your faith has made thee whole'[Luke 8:48].

CLAIM IT: ‘…the tongue is a fire…that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature…'[James 3:6]. There is power in the tongue , so always say good things about your health because what you say is what you get. Stop saying ‘I have headache’ or ‘this sickness is going to kill me’ because it’s not your portion.

PRAISE: You can always praise God and get your healing because He strengthens you whenever you praise Him. ‘I will rejoice in the Lord, l will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD is my strength and He will make my feet like hinds feet'[Habakkuk 3:18-19]

MINISTRATION OF MYSTERIES: There are so many mysteries in the bible that you can apply to get total health. Some of these mysteries are feet washing, use of the anointing oil, mantle, blood of sprinkling etc.

WORK TOWARDS IT: Faith without works is dead. You shouldn’t think of enjoying total health when you don’t work towards it. Always maintain personal hygiene, eat good food etc

5 WAYS OF PRAISING GOD

There so many ways of praising God and you can find them written in the scriptures. Just as you already know, praising God is thanking, glorifying and honouring His name. Some of the ways to praise Him are:
BY SINGING & DANCING: ‘Sing unto the Lord a new song, play skilfully with a with a loud noise'[Psalms 33:3]. Dancing, singing, and playing instruments is one of the ways of praising Him. You don’t need to be the best dances or singer to be able to praise Him through this medium. All you need is a sincere and a glad heart to praise Him.

SHARING TESTIMONIES: Another way for praising God is through sharing testimonies. Whenever you share your testimonies, you honour His name because you’re telling others that He alone did it for you and it’s not by your own making. ‘with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations'[Psalms 89:1]. Always note that any testimony shared, gives birth to another testimony in your life and other people’s life because testimonies always boosts the faith of others and appreciation is an application for more.

RECOUNTING HIS GOOD DEEDS: ‘Let us offer sacrifices of praise to God continually that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to God'[Hebrews 19:15] This method of praising God is a form of one on one praise because it’s just you talking to God, and recounting His good deeds to Him. The bible says ‘say unto how terrible art thou works'[Psalms 66:3].

BY GIVING: When you give unto God, you are thanking Him for one thing or the other and as such, you are praising Him. ‘Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name, bring an offering into His court'[Psalms 96:8]. You give to God by giving to the church and the needy.

YOUR LIFESTYLE: ‘Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God'[Phillipians 1:11]. This talks about your character and your reputation. Always honour the Lord with your body and your attitude. To praise Him with you lifestyle, you have to be filled with the fruits of the spirit which are, ‘…love. Joy, peace,longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance'[Galatians 5:24].

In conclusion, there are so many ways of praising God. Whatever way you choose to praise Him with, do it freely and joyfully.

PRAY OR PRAISE- WHICH DOES MORE?

Most people don’t really know which of these two tools gets more speedy and efficient result when used for making supplications. This post would give an answer to this.
Prayer is talking and hearing from God. Whenever you pray for something, God sends your angel to you to help you in whatever way you desire. When Peter was in prison, the bible recorded that ‘…prayers was made of the church without ceasing'[Acts 12:5] and as a result of these prayers, ‘…the angel of the lord came upon him'[Acts 12:7]. Daniel also prayed and an angel was sent unto him- ‘Yea while I was yet speaking in prayers, even the man Gabriel…touched me…'[Daniel 9:21].
On the other hand, praising God is thanking, honouring, and glorifying His name. When you praise God, He gets up, moves closer to you and does all the needed job because He inhabits the praises of His people. He would never allow any angel come close to you because He will never share His glory with any man. Whenever you praise God, He takes over your battles and then, turns you into a mere spectator. Jehoshaphat and the children of Isreal praised Him and He took over their battle- ‘And when they began to sing praises, the Lord set ambushment against the children of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, and they were all smitten'[2 Chronicles 20:15]. When Joshua came face to face with the wall of Jericho, he praised God and the walls couldn’t withstand God’s presence- ‘…when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat…'[Joshua 6:20]. Also, when Paul and Silas were in the prison, they prayed but their prayers had no effect before they decided to step up their supplications to the next level- ‘Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God…And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken and immediately, all the doors were opened and everyone’s band were loosed[Acts 16:25-26]. God had to be present at the prison to inhabit the praises of Paul and Silas hence, the earthquake had to occur.
Furthermore, in grammar, if pray is singular and you want to make it plural, you have to add an ‘s’ to it. It then becomes prays[praise]. What this means is that the effect of praise is always minimum the double of the effect of pray. Therefore, if pray can give you a house, praise can you a minimum of two houses.
