While working in my facility,I heard the wailing of some people who rushed through the reception calling for help.
I was not sure of what it was so I ran out while the customer service representative was asking them to leave that we don’t attend to such emergencies there… but as soon as I heard one of them say the head is out I quickly ran outside to the “Keke”(tricycle) and saw a woman who needed urgent attention. I called on the Nurse who was busy with other things to join me as we helped the woman alongside other people within the facility seeing we tried to be aseptic as much as possible even though it was by the road side because she couldn’t be brought out of the “Keke” at that time.
Baby was delivered but did not cry immediately the Nurse had to carry him into the facility to see how much he could resuscitate, while I stayed with the woman to deliver the placenta which took a little time and ensure she was stable as much as possible, the nurse joined me their when the baby was resuscitated,we delivered the placenta and cleaned her up
And sent them over the the general hospital for which they were headed, being referred from a private hospital but had to stop at our facility when they noticed the head of the baby.
Everyone in the facility teamed up to help the woman and the baby.
