How To Discover Your Purpose in Life [Catching a Vision Of Who You Are]

Until you locate the purpose of any product, that product will always fail and won’t work for you because a product cannot function efficiently outside what it’s being created for.
To discover what a product is for and how it works, you’ve got to

ask the manufacturer,

refer to the manual accompanying the product,

ask those who know about the product, or

you make research.

Understand that you’re a product made by the manufacturer, you can’t decide what to become, you discover it. Most persons wouldn’t want to bow to this fact and that’s why they are failing big time but hear me now, you have a maker who said, “…before I formed thee, I knew thee…”{Jeremiah 1:4}. He formed you alone hence, He knows you alone. You are unique and you remain the original copy of who you are regardless the nature of your birth. Your loved ones, teachers or mentors did not make you hence they have no right of telling you who you are. No matter how poor, bad, rejected, or disfigured you’re, your manufacturer has a plan for you, which is “…a thought of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end“{Jeremiah 29:11}. No matter how wicked a manufacturer might be, you don’t expect him to sit down to make something that he expects to fail, how much more your righteous heavenly father.
You don’t have any rights telling your maker who you want to become or rejecting His purpose for a pot can never be greater than the potter hence He said “woe is he that striveth with his maker”{Isaiah 45:9} for, “…my counsel shall stand and I will do my pleasure”{Isaiah 46:10}

So, how do you locate your purpose?

BE BORN AGAIN: This is the first step to discovering your purpose as this gives you a divine connection to God. Please never try to infer that not having a divine connection to God means that He’s no longer your creator.

PRAY: The scriptures said, “Ask me of things to come concerning my sons and concerning the works of my hands, command ye me”{Isaiah 45:11}

PRAISE: God lives in praise and when you praise Him He comes down to you. Whenever He’s with you, expect to hear from Him.

READ THE BOOK:The bible is a very special book from God that can help you discover you. Christ and John the Baptist discovered their purposes via the book. Go and look into that book because until you look into it, no one looks at you.

READ OTHER ANOINTED BOOKS: Daniel used this and it worked for him-“…I Daniel understood by books…”{Daniel 9:2}. You too can.

ENGAGING THE HOLY GHOST: “I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…your young men shall see visions”{Joel 2:28}. A young man is someone with 6 years like Samuel and 100 year’s because they both saw visions between this age range.

What is Vision?

Whenever we hear the word vision anywhere near the church, we are always inclined to thinking of a situation where an anointed individual is sensing or seeing something very unusual but vision is much more than that. In this post, I’m going to be broadening your view about this subject of vision.
So, what is vision?

It is the discovery of God’s plan and purpose.

In my previous post I talked about purpose not being something you decide but something to be discovered and here, we see that there is a huge relationship between purpose and vision because vision is the process of discovering it. Note that there are so many ways of discovering it which I shall be discussing later on. This was the kind of vision that opened up Christ’s ministry here on earth.

It is an attraction getting event

After Christ got the vision of God’s purpose for Him, the bible recorded, ‘…the eyes of everyone in the synagogue was fastened upon Him'{Luke 4:20}. Also when Moses got the vision of the burning bush, he said, ‘I must look to see this great sight for the bush burneth without being consumed'{Exodus 3:2} It becomes very difficult for you to be seen, favoured, remembered if you’re yet to see God’s plan and purpose for you.

It is your thinking

‘For as a man thinketh in his heart so is he…'{Proverbs 23:7}. Visions, dreams, and imaginations are some of the most powerful forces on the earth ‘…because it will surely come to pass, it will not tarry{Habakkuk 2:3}. Although Joseph’s vision was delayed for years, it came to pass. Although Caleb and Joshua’s vision of conquest delayed for over 40 years, it still came to pass likewise that of the other 10 spies who envisioned defeat and death.

It is as far as your eyes can see

‘God said unto Abram, lift up thine eyes northward, southward, westward and eastward. For all the land which thou seest shall I give to you and your seeds'{Genesis 13:14-15}. Similarly, God is saying, look from Genesis to Malachi, from Matthew to Revelation and all the boldness, godliness, grace, power, prosperity etc will be yours.

Understanding Purpose and God’s Plan

Thomas Edison invented the electric bulb. He is the manufacturer while the bulb is the product. He didn’t decide to make the electric bulb an electric bulb after forming it, instead, he made the decision before he started the formation process. So, every product has its manufacturer and every manufacturer has a purpose of manufacturing his product. You and I, we are all products manufactured by our manufacturer which is God hence He said, Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee and I ordained thee a…{Jeremiah 1:4}

So what is purpose?

THE REASON FOR YOUR EXISTENCE

Just as in the passage above, God said he had already known you before your birth and had already ordained you for a particular thing which is your purpose.

YOUR FINAL DESTINATION IN LIFE

“…For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate…”{Romans 8:28-30} Before you were manufactured, God didn’t only know you but He also programmed how you are to be and how He wants you to end in life hence He said, “I know the thoughts that I think towards you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end“{Jeremiah 29:11} So, before you were born, your end was known to Him.

GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU

“According as he hath chosen us in Him before the foundations of the world”{Ephesians 1:4} He knew you. “Being predestined according to the purpose of Him that worketh all things according to the counsel of His own will” {Ephesians 1:11}He knows how you will end. “For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”{Ephesians 2:10}

Purpose is not decided, instead it is discovered. A stethoscope can never become an earpiece neither can a microwave become a television. If you do not know what a microwave is, you will always think it to be a television not because you’re a fool but because when the purpose of anything is not known, abuse is inevitable.

One of the greatest reason (if not the greatest) why people fail is the loss of purpose. If God who manufactured you made you to be a teacher, nothing can ever make you successful in life if you choose to become a doctor.

FLEE FROM EVERY APPEARANCE OF EVIL: What you see determines what you think. Fleeing not just physically but every part of you. Do away with those website, books, pop songs, devilis confessions, movies, devices… also remember to distance yourself from those friends who are not living right because evil communiaction corrupts good manners.

MAKE PUBLIC RESOLUTIONS: I don’t mean you go telling people about your condition but in times of altar calls in your church, seminars… come out boldly and declare right there to yourself in front of God’s altar that you are done with such additions. Make vows that will keep you in faith and be determined not to go back to your old ways. It takes a lot of courage to come out in public to confess your sins and to receive Christ but it brings the feel of seriousness and genuity hence spuring you to hold fast.

FORGET IT AND SHUN FEAR: Is it really possible to forget? Yes. Just live your normal life with God and stop thinking you have a problem. This is faith. Interestingly most people can’t stop out of fear of themselves. You no longer trust yourself because you feel so guilty about it-but just move on for Jesus has already overcome for you.
Say that to the devil and he will flee.

PRODUCTIVE ENGAGEMENT: Personally I don’t think you enjoy this more than making money or some other things you like. Try to be more engaged in other things and with time you will lose interest. You love the internet so much but it happens to be your main reason for doing this? ok. Why don’t you start a blog & dedicate your time to being useful.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISES: This is an oppression of the devil and Jesus was called to deliver the oppressed so, call on Him for deliverance. Make kingdom service, fasting, prayer and praising God a lifestyle.

Wisdom For Financial Dominion

To everything done in life, wisdom and understanding can never be neglected for without it, people perish. Financial dominion is made possible by knowing and having access to what others cannot access just as Job lamented in the days of adversity, “…in the days of my youth when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle”[Job 29:4]. Job said this because he knew what he had achieved via the divine secrets which he was operating with hence when things became tough, he was left with no other choice but to believe that he’d lost all the secrets. It takes divine wisdom to gain access to divine secrets. This gives birth to divine ideas. It is ideas that makes great men. Isaac had it and he became the first irrigation farmer, Joseph had it and he was made the prime minister, Daniel had it, and he remained one of the most successful politician in the history of the world. His wisdom ideas made him irreplaceable despite all the coups that took place during his days. Solomon riches and honour were all gotten on the platform of the divine wisdom given to him by God. For you to start enjoying financial dominion, there is someone you need to meet, there is something you need to say, there is a way you need to say it, there is a business you need to start, there is an ideal place to start that business… but do you really know all of these? The scriptures made us to understand that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and also, the secret things belongs unto God. You must have tried so many means in order to make it in life, now is the time to let God lead you. All you need to do know is

• surrender your life to Him
• confess your sins
• live a godly life

and then ask for His divine direction and wisdom, I bet you, your life has just changed. Congratulations.

The Truth About Giving To Humanity

There is no other thing God loves more than man and that is why He demonstrated how true love should be expressed “for God so love the world that He gave…”[John 3:16] Therefore, we should so love His people that we give unto them whenever we are opportuned to. No matter how poor you are, there is always something you can give to help. Just as you expect someone richer to give you a car, a poorer being is also looking up to you for that one dollar that would sustain him to the next day. No wonder the scriptures said, “if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who will give you your own?”[Luke 16:12] Mr Job had this secret inside Of him and it worked for him- “I delivered the poor that cried, the fatherless and him that had none to help…I caused thie widows heart to sing…I was eye to the blind and feet to the lame…”[Job 29:12-17] And just because he did all of this, he was rewarded greatly-” I shall not die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand. My root shall spread out by the waters…my glory was fresh in me and my bow was renewed in my hand. Unto me men gave ear, waited and kept silence at my counsel. After my words, they spake not again…”[Job 29:18-25]

The scriptures also went on to say, “he that giveth unto the poor shall not lack”[Proverbs 28:27].

The best way of expressing love is giving. “If a man say I love God and hateth his brother, he is a liar”[1 John 4:20]. Until you start seeing yourself as a channel of blessing to others, God is not committed to blessing you hence the scriptures said,” he that hath pity on the poor, lendeth unto God, and that which he hath given will He repay him again”[Proverbs 19:17].

Causes Of Poverty

To every condition enjoyed or endured on earth, there is always a reason for it and so does poverty. To me, poverty is more than unemployment, and also beyond leaving below a dollar per day. Poverty in my own terms, is a disease of living below your supposed financial means. I shall be sharing with you some of causes of this deadly disease which are

NOT SERVING GOD: Poverty brings sorrow and the scriptures said, “the sorrow Of them that hasten after other gods shall be multiplied”[Psalms 16:4] but the scriptures said, “if you obey Him and serve Him, you will spend your days in prosperity”[Job 36:11]

THE FALL: After Adam and Eve sinned, the ground was cursed but Jesus came to redeem us from the curse of the law. So, accept Him as your personal saviour.

NOT TITHING: When you don’t pay your tithe, you lay a curse Of poverty upon youself.

SATAN AND HIS AGENTS: Remember the parable Of the seed when a man planted good seeds but at night, the enemies came and planted tares.(Matthew 13:24-30) but you can “take the shield Of faith in order to quench all the fiery darts Of the wicked”[Ephesians 6:16]

STEALING: “He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him”[Proverbs 28:22]

WRONG COMPANY: “…he that followeth after vain persons, shall have poverty enough”[Proverb 28:19]

PARENTAL CURSES: When a parent places a curse on his child be sure it’s going to follow that person.

LAZINESS: “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand…”[Proverbs 10:4]

WASTEFULNESS: “A waster is brother to him that is lazy”[Proverbs 18:9]

GREED: ‘There is that scattereth and yet increaseth: and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty…”[Proverbs 11:24]

God prosper you.

Making Your Praises Work For You

Most times, when people praise God in church, they just do it as a normal routine activity or just entertainment but that is not praise. Until you set your heart to impress God and to do it as a way of showing appreciation, you are not doing praise. No matter how sweet your voice is or how fanciful your dance is, God never looks at you.

To praise God
you don’t necessarily have to dance to the tune of the song,
do not look at the people around you,
don’t consider your status whether governor, president etc because one day, you will become ex- whatever you think you are but the God you are praising can never become an ex-God.

Praise is the only thing God cannot give to Himself hence, He honours it whenever you’re giving it to Him.

It might interest you to know that God lives inside praise. When your praise Goes up, He comes down just as He did when Paul and Silas praised Him no wonder there was an earthquake.
The children of Isreal praised Him, He showed up and the wall od Jericho fell.

Prayers puts you incharge but praise puts God incharge.
-“Thou art holy thou that inhabitest(live in)the praises of your people”{Psalms 22:2}.

So now, how do you make your praise work For you?
BE BORN AGAIN: If God live inside praise, do you expect Him to dwell in a sinful environment?

BE MEEK: Meekness is dancing like king David [2 Samuel:20-22]-“Let them praise Him in the dance…He will beautify the meek[dancing SOLDIERlously] with salvation[general deliverance+grace]”{Psalms 149:3-4}

BE THANKFUL: “Enter into His gate with thanksgiving and into His court with praise”{Psalms 100:4}. God doesn’t stay at the gate but before you get to the court where He stays, you need to cross the gate.

BE JOYFUL: In the presence of God, there is fullness of joy.

BE EXPECTANT: Praise is the plural of pray so expect something.

Benefits Of Signs And Wonders

SUBDUING THE DEVIL: Without signs and wonders, the devil can never be subdued. All problems
, diseases and oppression are of the devil and to deal with these, signs and wonders must be performed.

MAKES YOU DIFFERENT: Signs and wonders is capable of making you different just as it made Daniel different from all other politician in his days.
WITNESSING EFFECTIVELY: By witnessing effectively, I mean being able to prove to others that JESUS is the one and only true God. The apostles of old witnessed Christ effectively because signs and wonders followed them.

PROOF OF BELIEF:The scriptures says, “And this sign shall follow them that believe…”(Mark 16:17). This means that for you to truly prove that you believe in God, you need to either perform or enjoy signd
s and wonders.

PROSEPERITY & PROMOTION: This is what most people in church are lookin for as everyone wants to prosper and do well. This is one of the things signs and wonders brings to the table.

In Joseph’s life, signs and wonders was all around- right from his father’s house, he had the gift of interpreting dreams.
In Portiphar’s house, he subdued the devil in Portiphar’s wife.
In Portiphar’s house and also in the prison, he was different from others hence he was made to lead.
When he interpreted Pharoah’s dream, he was being promoted from being a leader in the prison to ruling a nation.

Qualities Of A Good Soul Winner

PATIENCE:A good soul winner is never tired of sharing the word or praying for a targeted soul just as Abraham did for Sodom and Gomorrha. The scriptures said, ‘Be patient, unto the coming of the lord . Behold the husbandman(soul winners) waiteth for the precious fruit(souls) of the earth and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and the rain’.(James 5:7)
LOVE: Without showing love, soul winning would be extremely difficult. A brother once said the main reason why he decided to abide permanently in the church I attend is that on his first visit,(on a very hot day) he was given a very chilled bottle of cocacola. Not that he could not get one for himself, but…. There so many ways you can show love especially by giving material things.

EXEMPLARY: One of the major issues Christ had with the Scribes and the Pharisees was that they weren’t giving good examples to others wit their lifestyle hence they preached do as I say but not do as I do.

MEEKNESS Your job as a soul winner is mainly being physically present to speak and nothing else. It’s God that draweth souls near by His spirit-‘He shall not strive nor cry, never shall any man hear His voice on the street.'(Matthew 12:19)

NEVER ASHAMED: So many people do not go out for evangelism because they’re ashamed of either preaching or carrying their bibles
around.
Christ said, ‘whosoever shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before my father…'(Matthew 10:32-33)

HARDWORKING: As a soul winner, you need to establish yourself as a success by hardwork.-‘Study to show thyself approved, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth'(2Timothy 2:15)

BOlDNESS:The disciples succeeded by this

Understanding Spiritual Gifts

There are several spiritual gifts being given out by God to born again christians.

All these gifts come from the same spirit and the spirit is called The Holy Spirit.

‘Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit'[1 Corinthians 12:4].

After anyone receives Christ, at least one spiritual gift must be given to that person and this gift would serve as a sign.

‘Wherefore tongues{and other gifts} are for a sign…'[1 Corinthians 14:22].

Different gifts are for different purposes and God distributes these gift at His own will.

‘But all these worketh, that one and the selfsame spirit, dividing to everyone as He will'[1 Corinthians 12:11].

Spiritual gifts are not permanent.

‘…whether there be prophecies, they shall fail: whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away'[1 Corinthians 13:8].

Having a spiritual gift is not a guarantee that you will make heaven.

You can ask God for any particular spiritual gift and receive it.

‘But covet earnestly the best gift…'[1 Corinthians 12:31]

Spiritual gifts can be impacted from one person on another in different dimensions. Elijah impacted his on Elishah in double dimensions. Moses also impacted on Joshua. Paul also did.

‘And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came on them: and they spake with tongues and prophesied'[Acts 19:6].
